Because Modular Homes are built to local and state building codes
and assembled in a number of modules on the home site, they
absolutely qualify for traditional low-rate mortgage financing typically

Modular Homes are unique under the broader category
of "prefabricated" homes because they are not built to a
national HUD standard, but rather they are subject to the same building
codes for state and locality as site-built homes.  Modular Homes are

If Your Modular Home is in a Leased Lot Community

Single section modular homes can be no older than 20 years.
Multi-Section modular homes can be no older than 1977,
with the exception of California, where the multi-section modular homes
can be 1970 & newer. All modular homes must be in good condition, and
must not need major repair, to include roofing, skirting, siding and carpeting.  
Modular homes can be located in modular home parks, on owned
or leased land, or on private or family land.
